Overview of CEC

CEC has been serving our community for over thirty years; providing care and education for children and their families.

We believe it is God’s will and it is our desire, to serve the entire family by:

Parent Involvement

An important part of our program is the involvement of parents. Parents have many opportunities to take part in their child’s education experiences.

Well-Trained Staff and Low Turnover

We provide teachers weekly in-service training. They also attend educational conferences and classes to enhance their teaching skills. Our teachers truly are a family and turnover is low.

Christian Values and Education

These are woven throughout the day as we employ the Creative Curriculum. This curriculum guide, developed by Teaching Strategies Inc., is based on sound, developmentally appropriate practices that address the way children learn. It provides opportunities for children to incorporate literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts and technology into their everyday activities both at school and at home. This curriculum starts in our infant room and is employed through preschool.

Careful Hygiene Procedures

Our staff is diligent in hygiene procedures for diapering, toileting, hand washing, food service and management of illness. We work closely with our pediatric school nurse to ensure our high standard of health and safety practices.
