The Child Enrichment Center has been a ministry of City Point Church for over 40 years, providing quality care for all families. Our main objective here at CEC is to provide a safe, caring, and nurturing environment filled with interesting educational learning experiences, social play & fun helping our children grow to their fullest potential.
CEC Spiritual Philosophy
It is our goal to nurture children in the love and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, to help each child grow and learn about God through role modeling, Bible stories, scripture, and prayer. Through this we want our children to learn to love, show kindness and compassion for others, to grow in faith and to trust in God.
We believe that every child is unique and has different learning styles. Our teachers take time to get to know your children and understand who they are as individuals. Education starts at the early age of infancy, and our goal from this young age on, is to teach each child to be enthusiastic about learning, to have fun learning, to learn through play and planned activities, to be independent thinking individuals, helping them to succeed and grow to their fullest potential.

An important part of our program is for parents to get involved with their child’s learning environment. Throughout the year we provide many opportunities for each parent to volunteer their time and efforts. We have art events, holiday dinners, or Teddy Bear Picnic, classroom parties, different family events and so much more to offer.
Volunteer Opportunities for Parents
Our schools mission is to create an educational environment in which children are given the opportunity to reach their fullest potential and the social/developmental needs of each child are met. Helping your child realize the value of education is extremely important. Your presence at the Child Enrichment Center is one way to show your love and encouragement. We are looking for parents to volunteer to help us with this amazing task. The children and I invite parents to come to CEC to volunteer your time and talents. We value you as a volunteer and appreciate your dedication to the children as a supportive aide, role model, and mentor. We know your time is precious, but we hope this invitation will empower our parents to come in and volunteer. Volunteer opportunities can be reading for 1/2 hour at story time, conducting an arts and crafts project, a cooking project, sharing a music and movement activity, or an outdoor activity. Parents can volunteer for fieldtrips and be a chaperone, help with fundraising projects, or help with CEC events. Any help for these volunteer opportunities suggested would be greatly appreciated. Together we can make a difference in the learning environment of our children.
On a regular basis our teachers work towards furthering their education through ongoing trainings, educational workshops, ECE conferences and teacher in-services, all of which are designed to enhance our staff teaching skills.
All of the staff have many years of experience educating, nurturing, and loving children. Here at the Child Enrichment Center we have a wide range of qualified staff, some have just begun their career in ECE and others have been dedicated to loving and nurturing children for many years. All of our staff are CPR and first aid certified, trained in areas of health and safety, have been through 3 background checks, and some have college degrees and/or experience.
Christian Values and Education
All of our staff, Pastors and friends work together to provide a strong Christian environment for all of our children and their families. Throughout the day staff and children will learn about God through Bible Songs, Bible Stories, Scripture memory, verses and prayer. All of us here at The Child Enrichment Center teach about the love of God and find it very important to be a Christian role model for all of our families and their children.
Throughout the day as we plan our learning environment our staff uses the Creative Cur-riculum method. This curriculum guide, developed by Teaching Strategies Inc., is based on sound, developmentally appropriate practices that address the way children learn. It provides opportunities for children to incorporate literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts and technology into their everyday activities both at school and at home.
