Child Enrichment Center
Daily Curriculum

Throughout the day we offer activities and learning experiences in the areas of literacy, math, bible time & stories, circle time, music and movement, creative art, and science.

Spiritual & Educational Philosophy

It is our spiritual goal to nurture children in the love and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to help each child grow and learn about God through role modeling, Bible stories, Bible verses, scripture, worship & prayer. We want our children to learn how to show kindness, love, and compassion for others, to grow in faith and to learn to trust in God.

We believe that every child is unique and has different learning styles. Our teachers take time to get to know your children and understand them as individuals. Education starts at the early age of infancy and our goal from this young age on, is to teach each child to be enthusiastic about learning, to have fun learning through play and planned activities, to be independent thinking individuals, helping them to succeed and grow to their fullest potential. From the age of 6 weeks to 5 years we plan a wide range of stimulating activities within our lesson plans, building a rich learning environment for each age group in our care.

Literacy

Each of our classrooms promotes an enriched literacy environment that is age appropriate for each age level. Classroom activities are planned to help each child grow in language skills, recognition of letters, numbers, develop listening skills and learn to interact well socially.

Math

Each of our classrooms teach math skills from counting, to adding, subtracting, recognition of numbers and shapes, by using simple math pictures as well as using simple math language. Helping each child grow in age appropriate math skills and cognitive thinking skills to help them advance to and be successful in Elementary School.

Bible Time & Stories

Bible time and prayer are a part of our centers curriculum and is a big part of who we are. Each classroom reads stories from the Children’s Beginners Bible planning the Bible lesson, scripture memory verse, and Biblical Virtue that goes along with the monthly theme study, teaching our children about God and building a strong relationship with Him.

Circle Time

The children gather around with teachers and class friends in a fun time of reading books, singing, puppets time, prayer, songs & finger plays, circle games, show–n–tell, class discussions and bringing verbal skills to life.

Music and Movement

Music and movement is a time set aside for energetic movement to music of all kinds and instrument play. We plan and use songs, games, and interactive CD music to bring music to life.

l

Creative Art

All ages from infants to pre-k classrooms plan a creative art time, so much can be learned through art expression and creativity. On any given day your child can enjoy painting, 3-D art, cooking art, group building art projects, play dough/clay creations and so much more.

l

Science

Science exploration is a great way to teach children how to explore the unknown and the world around them. Through science exploration, class activities and play we want for our children to ask questions, enhance their thinking skills and build knowledge for science.
